Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar & Cultural Highlights

Meet your guide and driver at Chinggis Khaan International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Depending on your flight schedule, take a short city walk to explore Chinggis Khaan Square and the Parliament House. Visit National History Museum.

Day 3: Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur & Khorgo Volcano

Visit Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur (Great White Lake) and hike to Khorgo Volcano, observing stunning volcanic landscapes and local wildlife. Enjoy a cultural experience with a nomadic family, tasting traditional Mongolian meals.

Day 5: Second day in Khar Nuur Lake

 Khar Nuur Lake, surrounded by pristine wilderness and dramatic mountain-desert scenery. We will enjoy the beautiful view with Khar nuur lake we can swim or hike around and enjoy a tranquil evening under the stars, perfect for stargazing.

Day 7: Tosontsengel Village & Local Culture

Stop at Tosontsengel Village, the largest in Zavkhan, and explore local markets to see traditional Mongolian daily life.

Day 9: Tsenkher Hot Springs Relaxation

Arrive at Tsenkher Hot Springs in Arkhangai Province. Soak in mineral-rich waters and enjoy the surrounding rolling hills and forests, offering a perfect mix of relaxation and exploration.

Day 2: Ancient Capital Kharkhorin & Erdene Zuu Monastery

Travel to Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. Explore Erdene Zuu Monastery, Mongolia’s first Buddhist monastery, and the surrounding ruins of Karakorum museum, gaining insight into the empire’s rich history and culture.

Day 4: Khar Nuur Lake & Scenic Zavkhan Landscapes

Drive to Khar Nuur Lake, surrounded by pristine wilderness and dramatic mountain-desert scenery. After arriving in our ger camp we will enjoy the beautiful view with Khar nuur lake  enjoy a tranquil evening under the stars, perfect for stargazing.

Day 6: Senjit Khad Rock & Mukhart River 

Explore the Mukhart River, also called the “River of Sand,” and the nearby Senjit Khad Rock, a natural stone arch offering panoramic views of the Zavkhan steppe. Enjoy hiking and photography opportunities amid surreal desert and grassland landscapes.

Day 8: Chuluut River Canyon Exploration

Visit Chuluut River Canyon, a dramatic gorge with scattered boulders and moraine rocks. It's affordable to walk along the river or just drive through and experience the rugged beauty of this natural landmark.

Day 10: Elsen Tasarkhai “Mini Gobi” & Camel Riding

Drive to Elsen Tasarkhai (Mini Gobi) for camel riding across golden sand dunes. Optionally, hike to Erdene Khambiin Monastery, a serene historical site nestled in foothills, blending adventure with cultural discovery.

Day 11: Gorkhi-Terelj National Park & Genghis Khan Statue

Travel to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, stopping at the Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue, the world’s largest of its kind. Explore Turtle Rock, hike to Aryabal Meditation Temple, and immerse yourself in natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Day 12: Return to Ulaanbaatar & Shopping

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Free time for shopping at the State Department Store (Ikh Delguur) or local cashmere boutiques. Conclude your day with a mesmerizing Tumen Ekh Ensemble performance, featuring throat singing, traditional dance, and Mongolian contortion. Enjoy a farewell dinner with your guide and group, reflecting on your Mongolian adventure.

Day 13: Departure from Mongolia
